BOOK REVIEW:
The Aquarians Is a must-read for anyone wishing to experience (or re-experience) the 1970’s American dream. In search for their “true selves”, characters Milo, Mysti, Erin, and others embark on their own process of spiritual awakening. We, the readers, get to enjoy their journey.
Curran Galway masterfully sweeps us right along with the current of change that was prevalent in that time period. She shows us how the Spirit in all of us can lead us to a greater awareness of self no matter how varied our paths and goals.
Galway is a gifted story-teller, who touches the heart of her readers by helping us see that we all affect our greater world, no matter how desperate our orientation. Beautifully written and elegantly structured, we eagerly await the sequel!

Ordinary Mystic:
Practicing the Presence
Bridget Mcguire fell in love with God when she was thirty-five years old. Drowning in a sea of diapers and lost in her routine life as a mother and wife, she felt invisible until that day in 1980 when she was on a retreat in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. Caught up in an unexpected encounter with God, Bridget’s life was turned upside down forever.
Her journey of transformation wasn’t easy. The tragedies she endured, a brutal divorce, betrayal, forbidden love, and the agony of death, challenged her to continue to reach deep inside and hold on to the dignity of her own divinity. Her story is about the struggle to live the extraordinary in her ordinary life.
Forty-nine percent of the people in the United States have had mystical experiences but were afraid to talk about them. Ordinary Mystic is one of the first novels to offer readers permission to recognize and honor the mystical experience and feel comfortable sharing their stories.
BOOK REVIEW:
Ordinary Mystic: Practicing the Presence
Curran Galway gives her characters in Ordinary Mystic the freedom to define themselves, acting out their stories in vivid detail and appearing fully alive. She is able to successfully blend strong emotions, deep spirituality, menacing conflict and lively suspense in this well-told tale of a modern mystic seeking to find her place in the world. Hands down, a good read.

“…The writing in this book is fluid, and the story flows. There are high emotions across the scale that grab the reader and hold them riveted to the story. The characters are well defined, and stay true to themselves. It is of note that this fictional story is based on Curran Galway’s true life story…Readers who have had mystical experiences, but have not come out with them for fear of being judged, will find wisdom in this book. I recommend this book for those wishing to understand mystical experiences, as well as those wishing to form a personal connection with God.”— Bonnie Cehovet, Author Review
